The Museum of Guarda singles out this means of communication. By taking on that function it is effectively establishing a dialog with the community, through temporary exhibitions that present its collections, focusing on regional and national history, or within the framework of international commemorations.

One of the major concerns of the Musem of Guarda has been the opening up of the city to experiencing modern aesthetic languages and trends. In order to do so, many temporary exhibitions were held along with related conferences, debates and workshops with the exhibited artists.
